Very rural farm community. Quiet, safe town with access to Montreal, Canada. Great in the fall when the leaves are changing. Nice campground called High Falls located there. Also, neat gorge to check out close to campground. Almanzo Wilder farm located near the Spinner Road in the town of Burke. This is the man who married Laura Ingalls from the famous book and T.V. series Little House on the Prairie. Neat barn and renovated house to take a tour of. Check on line for times and fees. US Route 11 runs through Burke near the Canadian border. Somewhere not too far west of here the highway turns south towards Syracuse.
