Borders Canada and a Mohawk reservation. The St. Lawrence River is parallel to Fort Covington and the town has its own customs area. Many people vacation on the river during the summer months. The area is dotted with small camps where people can swim and boat. Many historic buildings still stand here from the war of 1812, Revolutionary war, and French and Native wars. Good place to learn the local history and there used to be a wonderful diner right in the middle of town. Homemade pies and rolls. Yum!
