East Syracuse is a small village of about 3,000 located in the Town of Dewitt in Eastern Onondaga County. The village is home to Bristol Labs, a division of Bristol-Myers Squibb that was, at one time, the world's largest source of penicillin. In 2001, village resident Jason M. Rhoades became the youngest Mayor in the State when he won East Syracuse's election at age 25.
