Elbridge is a small town of just over 6,000 named after former United States Vice President Elbridge Gerry, who served under 5th U.S. President James Madison, was a member of the Boston Tea Party, and a signer of the Declaration of Independence. The town lies in the westernmost part of Onondaga County, bordering Cayuga County, contains the villages of Jordan and Elbridge, and is home to the Jordan-Elbridge School District.
