The town of Onondaga, located just southwest of the city of Syracuse, is about 65 square miles in size and home to about 21,000 residents. Interstate 81 runs through the town alongside the Onondaga Indian Reservation. The villages and hamlets which make up the town are: Cedarvale, Howlett Hill, Navarino, Nedrow, Onondaga Hill, Sentinel Heights, South Onondaga, Southwood, Split Rock, and Taunton.
